External organs

– The penis is an organ with a double function: it transports sperms towards the female reproductive organs during sexual intercourse and it disposes of urine from the bladder.
– The scrotum is a pouch of skin that contains the testicles, blood vessels and part of the spermatic cord.

– The testicles produce sperms and testosterone.
– The seminal vesicles produce a liquid made up of fructose.
– The prostate manufactures a fluid that nurtures sperms.
– The urethra transports urine and semen.
– The deferent ducts (ductus deferens) store sperms.

Spermatozoa

– A spermatozoon is a mobile cell that reaches the ovum in order to fertilize it. It has three parts: head, neck or middle piece and tail.
– Semen is a milky fluid released during ejaculation. It is made up of 90% seminal fluid and the rest is sperms.
