Slovenia is bounded by Italy to the west, by the Adriatic Sea to the southwest, by Croatia to the south and east, by Hungary to the northeast and by Austria to the north. Slovenians are its main ethnic group, followed by several other former Yugoslavian nationalities (Croatians, Serbians, Bosnians, etc.). The population is concentrated in the cities of Ljubljana (the capital), Maribor and Kranj.
